There is one team missing in group C so it will be a BYE game for everyone, 20 minutes practice will be offered on sheet.
There are 3 groups of 6 teams. Top 8 overall* from groupstage proceeds to quarterfinals.
1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5
*Note. If there are some empty spots in one or more of the groups there will be partly group-based ranking and this is the ranking procedures for the playoffs:
- Full group - 3 best teams from group proceeds to QF
- Groups with empty spot - 2 best teams from groups proceed to QF
- If any remaining spot for the QF is available these spots will be assigned between the teams ranked below top 2 in the non-full groups but with best record (W, LSD) (This is only applicable for events with more than 1 group not full)
Practice & LSD
Pre tournament practice will be at 9-11 on thursday, the practice is no appointed sheets so all the teams move around and play whatever sheet they want.
Practice before the games starts on the appointed time in the schedule. Team first on the schedule practice first with black stones. Team that has had practice plays the clockwise followed by the counter-clockwise LSD.
This LSD is to decide hammer and later used to decide playoff-teams through the overall ranking if other factors are not enough.
The worst LSD will be removed.
Teams in group A & B will count their 4 first games LSD towards total. Their last game will only count towards Hammer in that game.
One extra end, if blank in extra, team without hammer wins.
Practice and LSD will be announced by umpires.
